Lorry accident, Finchley Road
I took this picture from my bedroom window. I can still remember the incredible crash the railway sleepers made when the fell of the back of this lorry.

Billboard, Swiss Cottage
I remember this image very clearly. The young Muslims walking under the scene of expensive yuppie property separated by less than a mile geographically but by much more socially.

Zachary Crush, pub
A good picture of Zach this one, in his signature blue shirt with t-shirt underneath combo. I don’t know where we were or who else was with us or what the occasion was, maybe that’s because of the large amount of white wine I was probably drinking judging by the glass in the foreground.

VR’s old room, 471a Finchley Road
This room was echoey and cold once VR had moved out. She painted the red lines along the wall. Dave and Dexter and I walked past my old flat today coming back from Hampstead. My blinds are still in place I noticed – but the flat next door is boarded up now and the whole block looks very much worse for wear. It was a great place to live in the summer of ‘99.

The Dome, from Greenwich
Almost ready for the Millennium celebrations here. I’m guessing that me and RT walked here from Tower Bridge as it was one of my favourite London walks. The river is so bendy around here it can be really disorientating trying to work out where you are in relation to places. I always loved walking alongside the Thames as far as my legs would carry me, and then getting the train back into town. Haven’t done it for years now. In fact I think the last time I attempted it was about 7 years ago with Dave. We got as far as the Design Museum café.....as it was a bitterly cold day in December and we ran out of daylight.

VR moving out, West End Lane
This was a sad day. VR had been a great flatmate she was training to be a masseuse in 1999 and qualified soon after. She now practises in Yorkshire.

Three drunks, Camden Town, lunchtime
This was a gloriously hot, sunny day, and perhaps what you don’t get from this picture is a proper sense of the ripe aroma that was coming off these fellows. Still, it is a heart-warming sight to see two mates helping a third after a few super-strength lagers too many. I don’t know if it's because I don’t go out so much these days but I’m fairly sure you don’t see as many outdoor drinkers these days as you used to. I know it’s illegal now to lounge drunkenly around Kilburn High Road as there are signs saying anyone found drunk in the street will be arrested....maybe they’ve managed to bring that law in around Camden too.
