Me outside the Chrysalis building, Bramley Road Back at Minster Road, this time to do make sure the carpet cleaner man did his job properly

Me outside the Chrysalis building, Bramley Road

This photo was taken by Dave after work I think. I remember that as one of my favourite t-shirts. It was from Urban Outfitters, a shop I went to all the time. I kept the t-shirt for ages, even after it shrunk quite badly. I’m thinking of having my hair cut like that again. I’m sick of it long, and looking a this picture reminds me of how nice it was to just push it back out of my face.

Matador doll in the kitchen of 471a Finchley Road

This is what they call a ‘detail’ of a picture. His perfectly exposed blue trousers with the plaid trim and the gorgeous red of his cloak – but alas no head. He stood on a shelf along with a Spanish lady doll, who I didn’t find nearly as appealing. He belonged to PH, and added a bit of Latin glamour to the kitchen.

Notting Hill Carnival preparations Dexter’s Auntie Sarah in the new flat

Notting Hill Carnival preparations

It was the bank holiday Monday and I must have gone into Watchmaker to catch up on the work I would have missed while I was in Manchester. From the offices you could hear the carnival mayhem carried on a breeze, and under the window a few festival goers getting ready to join the parade.

Reading Station

After the festival comes the getting home part – never much fun, but especially when you’re leaving early in a grump.

Reading Festival Shirley’s Removals get to work on our stuff. It took two trips in the van in the end

RT and VR in the VIP area. Thanks to PH’s job working for Vince Power, RT and I had free passes for the whole weekend, and a place to stay as my friend Laura leant us her house while she and her husband were on their holidays…unfortunately we argued too much to enjoy the treat. Here are VR, who was picking up litter at the event, and RT dutifully posing for a pic.

Rebuilding the centre, Manchester

On the 15th June 1996 a massive bomb went off in Manchester’s Arndale Shopping centre. Two year’s later and a new shopping centre, the Trafford centre had already risen from the ashes, but a year on and there were still additions being made to the bombed out area.
